Paper is passed through heated rollers, which creates a strong adhesion between the paper fibre and the polyethylene layer. A smooth finish is achieved on the coated side, and a matte finish on the uncoated side.
To stabilize the PE layer, the coated sheets are cooled. The internal layer is made sure to stay flat for easy handling during packaging.
